First International Meeting in Laparoscopic Gastric Plication is to take place in Barcelona

The First International Meeting in Laparoscopic Gastric Plication is to take place in Barcelona on 3rd May 2011. The meeting will feature five live surgical cases of the Gastric Plication/Gastric Imbrication procedure, including one procedure conducted using robotic surgery.

The EndoFLIP EF-620 catheter will also feature in a number of these cases. Leading practitioners of the technique , including Dr Mohamed Talebpour, widely recognised as the inventor of the technique, will collaborate to produce a consensus report to be sent to Bariatric Societies worldwide at the conclusion of the meeting.
